Lynch Family Foundation Beneficiary Banquet 2015
The Lynch Family Foundation held their annual fundraising event June 11, 2015 again this year at the Hotel Winneshiek in Decorah, IA. Speakers for the event included Governor Terry Branstad, Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds, ISU Head Football Coach Paul Rhoads, Minnesota Viking’s mascot “Ragnar”, among other special guests. This year’s beneficiary Recipient was the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation. The Foundation provides meaningful, interactive experiences to service members, first responders and their families, aimed at enriching their family relationships. Prior to his untimely passing in 2013, Chris had begun casting his vision for the Foundation, and today Taya and a dedicated team are ensuring Chris’s vision, desire and legacy to the country he served. The Lynch Family Foundation presented Governor Branstad with a $25,000 check for the Home Base Iowa. This inovative public-private partnership matches military veterans with jobs across Iowa. “Through their service, veterans have already proven they share the values we hold dear as Iowans - hard work, leadership, and patriotism, among others. Home Base Iowa allows veterans to find the right job for them in Iowa, and to become a part of our communities.” The Puppy Jake Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping wounded military veterans with the assistance of well-bred and professionally trained service dogs. The Lynch Family Foundation presented Becky Beach from the Puppy Jake Foundation with a $10,000 check. The Foundation advocates for increased awareness and accessibility for those accompanied by a service dog in everyday situations.
